Mashinani Youth Voices is a frontline youth-focused, locally-led capacity building organization that is focusing on addressing unemployment and driving economic growth at the grassroots level.
Rooted in the belief of young people as problem solvers, change makers & leaders, we build effective, sustainable and scalable initiatives that drive change around three interconnected strategic objectives; business skill development, financial resource mobilization and self-employment. These objectives power our mission and drive us towards our holistic goal. We believe in a world where the potential for success is unlimited for youths with talent, drive and ambition.

Our goal is to build capacity and create a network of successful business owners.
- Foster Entrepreneurial Mindset – To encourage young people to develop entrepreneurial mindset, empowering them to identify opportunities, take risks & create their ventures.
- Skills Development – To provide comprehensive training and capacity building program to enhance entrepreneurial skills including business planning, financial management, marketing & leadership.
- Access to capital – To provide seed grants that enable young entrepreneurs to fund their business ideas and initiatives.
- Mentorship & Guidance – To establish a mentorship program connecting young entrepreneurs with experienced industry professionals who can provide guidance, advice and support throughout their entrepreneurial journey.
- Networking & Collaboration – To encourage collaboration among young entrepreneurs fostering the exchange of ideas, knowledge and potential partnerships.
Message from The Chairperson
At Mashinani Youth Voices, we believe that young people are at the heart of solutions to Kenyan development challenges. We provide them with basic assets that they can leverage for improved livelihoods. Our activities aim to mobilize business capital, improve skills alignment and equip young people to thrive in self-employment & succeed in entrepreneurial venture.
We support young people who have proved to be unstoppable in the face of adversity & are deeply committed to leading change in their communities. By empowering young people to become leaders and positive agents of change, we believe that we can make significant strides towards a brighter future for all Kenyans.
