Mashinani Youth Voices
Mashinani Youth Voices is a frontline youth-focused, locally-led capacity building organization that is focused on addressing unemployment and driving economic growth at the grassroots level.
Rooted in the belief of young people as problem solvers, change makers & leaders, we build effective, sustainable and scalable initiatives that drive change around three interconnected strategic objectives; digital & entrepreneurship skill development, financial resource mobilization and self-employment. These objectives power our mission and drive us towards our holistic goal. We believe in a world where the potential for success is unlimited for youths with talent, drive and ambition.

Our goal is to build capacity and create a network of successful business owners.
The program aims to achieve the following objectives;
- Job creation – To enhance job creation among the youth Through our digital & entrepreneurship training program. By enabling young people to undertake online jobs and establish successful business enterprises, we help create more job opportunities. The acquisition of relevant skills also make the youth more competitive in the job market. It fosters creativity, innovation & the ability to identify & pursue business opportunities.
- Increased Income Levels – To achieve improved income levels & lifestyle among the youth as a result of successful entrepreneurial ventures and employment opportunities.
- Job placement & Career Guidance – To connect our program beneficiaries with suitable online jobs and digital platform experts.
- Financial Literacy & Independence – To offer financial literacy training to the youth empowering them to make informed financial decisions and foster financial independence
- Foster Entrepreneurial Mindset – To encourage young people to develop entrepreneurial mindset, empowering them to identify opportunities, take risks & create their ventures.
- Networking & Collaboration – To create a robust network of youth, mentors, industry professionals & successful business people – hence providing opportunities for networking & collaboration among them.
- Mentorship & Guidance – To establish a mentorship program connecting young entrepreneurs with experienced industry professionals who can provide guidance, advice and support throughout their entrepreneurial journey.
- Access to capital – To encourage all our beneficiaries to join Mashinani Multi-Purpose SACCO owned by members of Mashinani Youth Voices CBO. This enables them to save and obtain low interest loans to start or expand their business ventures.
Message from The Chairperson
At Mashinani Youth Voices, we believe that young people are at the heart of solutions to Kenya’s development challenges. We provide them with basic assets that they can leverage for improved livelihoods. Our activities aim to mobilize business capital, improve digital & business skills alignment and equip young people to thrive in self-employment.
We support young people who have proved to be unstoppable in the face of adversity & are deeply committed to leading change in their communities. By empowering young people to become leaders and positive agents of change, we believe that we can make significant strides towards a brighter future for all Kenyans.
